If my 30-30 loads didn’t have such a demand on my W231 supply and I could find more I’d probably switch to that exclusively for standard pistols.

I found a load for a 30-30 “Short Range” that uses it and shoots pretty good out to 50 yards.

NATO Reloading dot com has high praise for Silhouette and HS-6 in 9mm so I wanted to try them. I haven’t been disappointed. I used to think CFE Pistol wasn’t as good but I did some more controlled testing and it works fine in my pistols. It equals W231 in accuracy with wadcutter loads in 357 Magnum cases.

I just cleaned my Blackhawk and didn’t find any leading. I haven’t cleaned it in a few trips so it was dirty but no leading was evident in spite of many HBWC and LRN bullets going through it.

I consider coated bullets the same as lead for pressure, but you can generally push them a lil harder due to the coating as they wont lead as easily.

Youre clearly not trying hard enough!!

Ive only had it happen once, and it was intermittent. 115gr Acmes over a stout dose of CFE-P loaded to make 9mm Major from a 4.6" barrel thru a 10.5" barrel AR9. They got there in a hurry.
