I shoot (lefty) a 12 g browning bps. When I do the old POA/POI on the patterning board, I typically hit about 3-4 inches to the right of center when shooting from 25 yards. I need to change the cast very slightly. Is there anyway I can do this short of going to a professional stock-fitter and paying more than the gun cost?

Cast is difficult to adjust on your own without an adjustable comb. Some guns you can change the cast using wood shims where the stock attaches to the receiver. Doesn't work with all guns.

Cut a shim or two out of old hulls, foil, etc. Loosen the stock bolt enough to install a shim, retighten, and measure how much the stock moves. You're looking for "Cast On" and I'd go for 1/16" difference where your eye lies above the comb for a start. Pattern at 16 yards and see how the POI shifts. Adjust as needed.

HTH....
