Five hundred dollars. The guy said he never shot it and he had
bought it from an old man who had never shot it. That is funny and all, but the rifle seems to have very low mileage. The action is still a little stiff. Supposedly 1982 vintage, I didn't research and don't care much about the exact date of manufacture. No apparent rust, 2-3 very small scratches when I look closely, wood is almost perfect. It is going to be shot tomorrow! That should take my mind away from my .223. I did not need it, but since I didn't have a lever action in the safe, I think that one is a pretty iconic representative. They usually sell for more than that around here in not so good shape.
