Was off work the week before Christmas and along with filling orders I had time to get a friction folder finished up along with a new design I came up with for my father-in-law.

Causing Friction is a beast. Unlike most of the knives I show here this one is available for purchase, $235 shipped.

Handle is 5.5" not including the tang, the blade is 4".

Scales are green Linen Micarta that have been bead blasted for a light texture. Liners are 1/8" blackened steel with a Carbon Fiber back spacer.

I used a large 5/16" stainless pivot pin and a 1/4" stop pin, the pivot is press fit and both are screwed in place from both sides.

The 1084 blade is 1/4" at the pivot but closer to 3/16" at the thickest part of the spine. I left the tang exposed above the frame and long to ensure good activation of the friction lock since this is such a large folder. The tang can be shortened to the buyers preference before shipping, figured I'd rather offer that than make it too short for some people.

The belt sheath is heavy 10 oz wet molded American cowhide and designed to allow the tang to protrude.

Next up is the Raven. This knife was designed with ergonomics in mind. My father in law builds model boats as a hobby and I geared the blade towards that. He also has large hands so this knife features a swell on the top of the grip as well as the bottom. It's a smaller knife that feels big in the hand.

The 1084 Blade comes in just under 4" and is 3/16" thick at the spine. The tang retains a full 1/4" thickness. Scales are green Linen Micarta with a satin finish and stainess pin tube.

Thanks for looking and as always I greatly appreciate any feedback on the designs, it only helps me better understand what people like and don't like.

Merry Christmas!
