I think SGC Gunsmith's post went astray. He was alerting about ammo availability and it ended up bashing flippers.
I went onto the CCI site and got 10 boxes of 100 mini-mags for 11.99 each with free shipping.
I'm pretty happy with that and it will be going to the range, not a gun show.
Yes, most items were out of stock but these were what I wanted so you don't know if you don't
look. Delivery time says 15 to 20 days.

After going through the rules & regs, I'm at a loss as to why, informing other members here, that .22 rimfire ammunition is available from a certain source, at what may be considered as reasonable prices, would be considered a NO-NO? I have absolutely no affiliation with either of the manufacturers mentioned in my post, so therefore my cause for confusion. If it was indeed due to a post bashing "flippers", why not just cull that post?
Seems the door was just "slammed shut" without any explanation as to what the infraction involved. It's hard to correct performance without a specific direction to follow forward with after the explanation is received.

I've made a handful orders straight from CCI of late. Prices certainly aren't pre-pandemic, but they're reasonable for the times. Gotten some Minimag, Blazer and SV. Have gifted some, too.
The shipping does take, as their site says, 15 to 20 days. No biggie for me.
It pays to strike early before the offerings of the day get sold out. I find 5:45 a.m. generally works.

Well, over the last 16-18 months, posts about either ammo scarcity or accusations about "gouging" have all collapsed into mud-slinging and vitriol, and not High Road at all.

Which means such things had a "hair trigger" for being closed. And for good reason.
There were a couple of times there would be 3-4 of these on a given day; not one of any real value. And, there remain, still, many places to vent one's spleen on the politics, the profiteering (real or imagined) and the like.

Now, as pointed out in OP above, the information about direct sales is valuable and worthy of dissemination in our community. The trick of it is to keep it information (objective) and not speculative (subjective).

For all our unity, we are very easily frangible, and divisiveness does none of us any good.

I ordered 2 bricks, one for a friend. Thanks again.

My local store is getting some, but at the same price. Sure beats going 20 mikes to town and getting my 2 box limit.

The only thing I wasn't sure about and couldn't find, was how often I can order. I don't mean to say I'm going to make huge amout of orders, but would like to know.

That’s fine.

But if guns must use CCI in order to —reliably— Extract, some are totally ‘cured’ by having recoil springs….shortened.

This cured my new Ruger Mark IV and M&P .22 handgun.
Cheap Federal now operates as well as CCI.

My friend was too busy to look up improving his very unreliable new M&P .22 rifle, so he sticks with Minimags.

When I shot Bullseye (still have the 22 pistol), the pistol would shoot most everything accurately, but CCI standard velocity or Green Tag was the most reliable. I still like it and just ordered 10 boxes (the limit) within the last half hour or so. One does have to promise they are eligible and the state is agreeable. I am indeed and Nebraska is. So no problem.

I ordered enough every few days to keep my competition shooting going for this year and some practice. I also let my shooting buddies know that CCI has ammo.

I don't mind paying an extra dollar a box for SV ammo. I was able to pick up 6 bricks and 6 of Blazer over the past few weeks. I also managed to stock up on CCI Mini Mags and Velocitors.

Federal has some ammo on sale as well.

Well, looks like they won't ship to Illinois so doesn't do me any good. Illinois just requires buyers submit a FOID card, but some dealers don't want to deal with the hassle. Can't blame then, but it is annoying.

I've ordered the very next day that I placed an order, only because on the previous day, what I ordered next, wasn't available on the day of the first order. No black helicopters have landed here as yet, so it must be OK to order often.

Same here, I ordered the next day for same reason, and they took both orders, they haven't shipped yet but it is still only 6 days since the second order and they did say could be 15-20 business days I think.

I even picked me up some blazers there. New fancy looking box. Haven't bought them for years. If u r an early riser there usually something in stock
