Odd for sure?
I have loaded 15k
CCI 500's with zero failures. I do size, prime and store in batches of 1500. It is sometimes six months before I load and fire. I store in plastic containers in the garage with some pretty broad temp swings. I live in IL so we are talking anywhere from -5 to plus 80. Just my 2c
Load long enough and you will come across a few duds. I had one last week a Winchester WLP I loaded in .45 acp. I always load and store batches of 100 rounds in a ziplock with a label. The label has date load primer bullet oal etc. That way if a problem occurs when shooting you can pull the suspect batch. The most likely explanation is a bad batch of CCI primers.
