Looks like Midway is fiipping the price switch on-off-on. Keep an eye on it & you might find the SALE price appear again :what:
Looks like they are rotating it around the different primers. Right now (10pm, November 1) the small rifle magnums are on sale at this exact moment. I don't normally load magnums but I might be tempted...or maybe I should just keep checking to see when the stuff I really want is on sale.

How often do you guys think they're flipping them back and forth? I'm wondering how often to check back in. Waiting on the APS SPPs to pop up again.

You don't need a primer tray, because they are in the strips, so I wonder what they meant.

Put them in your cart. You should get an email notification if and when the price changes. At least I do.

Not sure, and it was just one sentence from one guy so Im hoping he was just confused. I'll try to find the review and link it.

Ok, here's the review, 3rd one down, from a fella named Eugene.

There's also the RCBS APS Strip Loader I noticed, not sure what that is, 2nd one down:

I think the "tray" is the strip loader. It's a gizmo that allows you to load your own loose primers into the APS strips. If I break down and buy the APS priming tool then I will buy the strip loader so I can reuse the strips.

I hadn't seen 21$ or whatever it was in awhile. Methinks time may have run out on me getting more. Why the crap did I just buy 3000 ???

Strip Loaders, including the tray, are a neat addition which as stated allow you to dump primers out of standard packaged trays, including those crazy big Federal trays, into the loader. Then as with any primer tray, jiggle it a bit to orient them properly, tip the unit, press the handle and voila, you've got strips loaded with your favorite primers. If you don't have strips of the proper primer size they can be purchased. Either way 4 strips laid side by side are easily covered with a strip of tape to keep them clean. I think when you buy the loader you get a few sample strips and some tape. Nice process I think. Takes all of 30 seconds to load a hundred.

They are back this morning, $19.39/k, but better hurry...other sizes also

BTW: the 5k boxes are $1 more per k than the 1K boxes
also the APS hand primer isn't on sale any longer

sale includes CCI 550 and CCI 450 -Small Pistol Mag. and Small Rifle Mag. at $22 and $23 per 1,000 respectively. These are packaged in the trays of 100. Limited quantities and you have to buy a sizeable quantity to make it worth the hazmat.
I guess I'm stocked up on primers for all of 2015...

It really seems that primers are getting cheaper. I just picked up some CCI#500 primers from Bruno Shooter Supply for $23.29 per 1k. I know it is not $20 per 1k, but it is local and no hazmat fees.

That is a good sign.

When I factor in shipping ($13) and Hazmat ($28), I'm paying over $24/k...over 15k primers...and I won't have them until Tues. But it beats the $38 at the local range, even after my 15% membership discount
