CCRKBA petitioning for Dem convention to forego armed security

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is calling on the Democrat National Committee to forego all armed security at their July convention in Philadelphia.

“If a political party believes that guns do not make us safer,” [President Alan] Gottlieb observed, “they should set an example by rejecting any and all forms of armed security at their national convention.”

idiotic. embarrassing. but, by all means, republicans should keep trying to bring firearms into a GOP presidential convention FULL OF SECRET SERVICE PROTECTING PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES.

This is dumb. The issue for most anti-gun people is not whether guns should exist, but who should be trusted with them. They are just unwilling to trust most people with guns. That's all. Has nothing to do with whether trained, sworn officers should have guns.
