Yes indeed. We should consider ourselves to be ambassador, and behave accordingly.
Unnecessarily rude, boorish, or snide behavior does not serve in that role, and it reflects only on the person so replying.

Mission accomplished, there you go, now you can say you did something productive with your day. Because after all, accusing random strangers of dishonesty is so high road. Bravo.. You're the MVP of these forums. Alot of covert Hillary voters around these days that only seem to show their face when they try to hijack someone else's thread
Lol

Have YOU ever shouted "Hey, you!" at a perfect stranger in a store, and pointed your finger at them?
Do you consider that polite behavior?
Yes I have and odds are so have you. What else do you say when you do not know someone's name and are trying to get their attention.
No, I haven'tYes I have and odds are so have you.
You say, "Excuse me, Sir (or Ma'am)."What else do you say when you do not know someone's name and are trying to get their attention.
This pretty much sums it up, but I have noticed a different standard in different parts of the country.Around here it's excuse me sir/ma'am/miss or just the sir/ma'am/miss.
In some other places and times I have lived it may have been "hey", but "hey you" would pretty much always be seen as rude or demeaning. The "hey" by itself can be used in a friendly manner, amongst acquaintances, as a way to start a question or conversation, etc, so that alone you have to see/hear to judge. Add the you after it...that alone changes the tone

Rewarding bad behavior is also neither becoming, justified, nor wise.
Can't argue with that. But let's consider the rudeness of the question as well. Do you ask a perfect stranger what is under their clothing? EVER? "Hey you, what kind of bra is that? Are those real? I don't see lines, are you wearing panties? Are you pregnant?" Unless you're an airport TSA screener, for a complete stranger to ask about any bulge under your apparel is extremely rude.
It was rude and obnoxious if done quietly. It was extra super rude and obnoxious if she said it loudly in the presence of others.

Those who cannot or will not govern their tongues should not carry weapons.
Why would you tell a lie if you are carrying legally?
The only pattern here is that you accuse strangers of dishonesty, and then get upset when they don't reply with kind words (typical hypocrisy we see from the left..if anyone's first impression was confirmed, it was mine.). Either way, I've shared what I wanted to share and have nothing further to add.I don't consider it a Thread Hijack just because someone does not agree with me. If all you want from starting a thread is for folks to pat you on the back and agree with you and your actions all the time, you need to rethink....and yes, I do not necessarily trust random posters on the internet, I do not know. Kinda why I get my reloading info from manuals and don't respond to suspicious e-mails. Just because I didn't think your response to the little old lady was cute/funny and appropriate, doesn't make me anti-gun. Just makes me anti-jerk. Your responses and attempts at personnel attacks towards me, just confirms my first impression.
Kleanbore sums it up well......
We as a gun community should promote gun ownership thru responsible behavior, not by smart-azz comments to little old ladies who out us because of improper CWC technique.
Yes I have and odds are so have you. What else do you say when you do not know someone's name and are trying to get their attention. I have it said to me daily in my line of work.......especially by little old ladies. No where did the OP say the little old lady was shouting. No where do we hear the old ladies' side of the story. Maybe it was just her way of trying to get the OP's attention and point out he was printing. We really don't know. The OP never attempted to find out, only to assume she was anti-gun....something he has done to me also. Seems to be a pattern here.
Yeah.....but won't the police arrest you for false advertising for claiming to be perfect?.....How about, "Is it your habit, Madam, to accost perfect strangers in this way? If you keep harassing me, I will call the police and have you arrested."
hard to believe the moderator hasn't chopped this thread off at the knees. Lots of opinions on correct behavior in public and not much on guns.
Respect is a two way street, and it sure didn't sound like she showed any.Yep. Also hard to believe is so many folks demand automatic respect for the inept CWCer, but then show no respect and/or try to humiliate a little old lady.
No irony there......
That has no bearing upon how to respond in a polite society.Respect is a two way street, and it sure didn't sound like she showed any.
Yes it does - but you seem to have missed my point. She wasn't at all polite. People who are rude shouldn't be surprised when others don't respond well. Think "social justice warriors" for a minute. That has no bearing upon how to respond in a polite society.
