Summer carry = .38 Taurus M85 stainless UL.

Winter carry = .38 Taurus M85 stainless UL

That's the one constant. :D

Now, us Texans are awaiting January 1, 2016. This is the date when our new open carry law goes into effect. Right now, on trips to town or beyond, I carry the pictured Taurus 605 Poly 19 ounce .357 magnum on my belt, usually, occasionally something else like my heavier Taurus 3" M66 .357 magnum or maybe my Ruger KP90DC .45 Automatic. I can wear a long T over it, or button up shirt, and conceal it. When the new OC law goes into effect, there will be no such thing as flashing, not that flashing is jail time now anymore since the law was revised a while back, but flashing will be out of our lexicon come Jan. 1. From then on, if someone sees the barrel poke out from under your shirt, so what? This will open my carry options up summer OR winter.

Really, "winter" in south Texas means long sleeve shirt vs T shirt, though. Aiin't a lot of difference. Summer is HOT, winter is comfortable. LOL Might be a little raw when a norther blows in, but it moderates quickly. We get a couple of overnight freezes a year, maybe, sometimes not. But, it's not like the dress code changes all that much, maybe a jacket. When I read guys in Michigan or somewhere talk about carrying in a coat or jacket pocket year around, I have to laugh. :D

Favorite belt carries....

Glock 26 year long. Honestly I think its easier to carry big in the summer. I don't have an equivalent of a Hawaiian shirt in my winter wardrobe and it just doesn't get that cold in Phoenix for bulky clothes during daylight.

I just recently switched from a fullsize M&P 40 to a Glock 19. That was more to standardize with my wife then for any issue with concealment though.

I live in FL and carry under a tshirt during the summer.

In just about any kind of weather I'm carrying either my Kahr CM9 or S&W Model 638. Only switch I might make in colder months would be my stainless S&W Model 649 for my aluminum alloy frame Model 638, and sometimes when it's really hot out I might "downsize" to my SIG P238 or KelTec P3AT.

Warm weather (cargo shorts, tee shirts): P938 pocket carry in Desantis Super Fly

As others have already said, I carry the same pistol year 'round.

So I guess that I am not a-put'n back in the safe them there little ones and a-break'n out them there biggens".
I am also not displaying every gun I own on the internet. Don't feel the need to.

I don't change anything. Why should you need to? I carry my BHP 9 MM year round in an IWB, double clip leather holster. In summer, I wear my shirt tail out or a sports coat, in winter I do have more options. Only time I change is if I am walking on a beach in a bathing suit and then I drop an Airweight in the pocket.

The only thing that changes is the holsters. In summer I use a Crossbreed Supertuck near exclusively. Sometimes for long drives and tourist stuff, I use a fanny pack.

In winter I can wear better concealment clothes, and I favor a double-stack 1911 instead of a single-stack. This let's me use a Blackhawk Serpa on the belt and a Galco Miami Classic shoulder holster, when I know I won't be taking my coat off.

8It would probably feel like a bigger change between two semi-autos.

My snub 38 and snub 44 have the exact same "manual of arms"; I am not concerned that switching between them will affect my reaction time or accuracy.

CZ75D PCR All year long. I've got smaller, but the CZ conceals well with shorts and a tee shirt or jeans and a flannel shirt.
