ccw in vehicle

I've got a gun pouch on my Wet Okole seat covers. If I ever get my CCW permit thats where I'll keep it. In the meantime, its a great place to stash my GPS.

Fanny pack, seat belt fits underneath, just slide in the hand and there is the gun. Also I wear gym pants, they are nike blk material that dries instantlly like their tee shirts. I keep one in my rt hand front pocket, "lcp" and it comes right out of the nemisis holster, in a second, I had the unkle mikes #2, but the cut away works even better. It slid out 1 time in 2 years sitting on the floor. Not bad considering I can sit on the floor and roll over it playing with the dog and it stays in 99.9% of the time. So far that one is the best carry for all situations that I ever had on any gun. It's fast and ready to go all the time. And black like the pants, so even if it was visible to me, "the back of the frame, no one has ever pinned me for carrying, they all say where the hell did that come from. I absolutlly love that gun, it is by far the cheapest and most convienient pistol with the proper close up power, and ability to hide in plain sight that I ever owned. Even my seacamp , was not as easy to get out because of ergonomics and being "too small" as the LCP.

If your carry position won't let you draw effectively while sitting in a car it likely won't be that great in other sitting positions. May as well just work out a carry position that works for everyting. KISS

I very rarely leave a loaded firearm in a vehicle that is not under my exclusive use or control. Too easy to forget and, as others have mentioned, leave a minor or other prohibited/unlicensed person in legal jeopardy. I know how I am. At least once a year I spend 10 minutes just looking for my dang keys.

Bad idea IMO as its just a nice way to arm some gangster lowlife with a quick smash&grab, and someone (GF/relative/etc) may borrow your car w/o your knowledge at some point and not realize it contains a concealed weapon and get pulled over, and a kid may grab your keys to get something out of your car and now has access to a loaded firearm which in a jury I would lean towards negligence if he killed himself or another kid with it.

If its in the car, it should be locked up and out of sight from peaking in the window or opening the door. But then you have to ask yourself, whats the point when you have another gun accessible right on your belt?
