Looks like my 3" Ruger SP101 in .32 Mag will have to serve as my everyday carry gun for a couple of months. What are some good, concealable rigs that people have found to work with this gun?

I am a medium-sized man of average-to-sedentary (but not noticeably overweight) build. I wear slacks every day and a tucked-in shirt -- either a polo shirt in warm weather or a button-down dress shirt in cooler months. I usually wear a sports jacket to work in cooler months but often take it off at my desk. It is quite important to me not to be "made" at work.

My ideal CCW configuration is pocket carry of a S&W J-frame in a DeSantis Nemesis or similar pocket holster. I have verified that this setup works great with my clothing and lifestyle. However, I won't have my J-frame for another two months or so. The SP101 will fit in my pocket holsters, but it is too bulky to work well -- the resulting bulge is quite prominent. So I am open to IWB holsters and other good concealment options for the sturdy little Ruger.

Any suggestions or photos much appreciated.

I'm 6-4 and 270... I've tried the 3" SP101 in a SmartCarry... BAD news!! Too make a long story short, it pinched my willy when I sat down... Sorry to be so graphic, but it DID NOT work for me... to each his own.

The '101 is Mrs Bowtie's gun, and we've had some trouble finding anyone who makes decent leather for the 3" models, especially any that might fit a lady's figure. Well, we found the PMK by Milt Sparks at Lightning Arms Sports and they actually had a 3" model IN STOCK!! It fits her well, and is very comfortable for her, but requires a bit more in the "cover" department than her "floppy" IWB. Mostly because it is a fairly low-ride OWB holster- there's just more that needs coverin'!

Well, Mr Bowtie had to try it out... the covers that I normally wear for my 1911 are more than adequate, and it is a VERY comfy combo... probably due to the significant decrease in weight compared to ol' slabsides.

LAS were fantastic people to deal with, and I would recommend them highly. I am also very impressed by the Milt Sparks work. *Very Nice.*
