I just picked this little pocket gun for the upcoming summer months. It drops into the pocket of my cargo shorts with a Desantes Nemesis holster. She's a little looker. I haven't shot it yet though, since I had to go out of town for a week, and it is still cold and snowy here.

The second gun is my Ruger SP101 wich is my winter time carry gun. It conceals easily under a fleece or sweatshirt IWB, but not so well when it's hot and I'm wearing light clothing.

Nice. Love my 642, although it has a Crimson Trace grip which makes it a bit tougher to pocket carry.

Practice with it a lot, and it's more accurate than you might think for a little snubbie.

The TALO editions of certain guns is mostly a cosmetic thing. TALO is a distributor that offers "limited runs" or "special editions". Honestly it's just slightly different configurations of popular models. For example, the TALO 3-5-7 series of S&W 686's are a little different than S&W's other offerings. They have different bbl lengths, unflutted cylinders, and different grips. They also have forged hammers and triggers on TALO editions which is kind of nice. I personally don't have a problem with MIM, but I do prefer forged parts. Each one is numbered, though I doubt these guns will ever be worth much more than the regular editions.

The LGS I bought it in wasn't asking any more for this model than the other 642's they had, and I liked the grip on this one a little better than the others, so I went with this one. If there had been a difference in price, I would have gone with a non TALO edition. I do find the TALO editions of the 629 and 686's to be appealing, though I don't know if they warrant the extra $50-$100 on the price tags. I guess it's all a matter of what you want. Honestly, a TALO edition of this gun almost seems a little silly to me, since the only real visible difference is the grip.

Either way, TALO or not, I like the gun, and can't wait to shoot it.
