No change for me since I had to get the check anyway.

Still, being able to get your handgun the same day is worth it to me. Especially at out of town gunshows. You can't even get your gun the same day if you are Law Enforcement without a permit!

That's why I love Idaho: Class 3 state, RKBA protected in the State Constitution, CCW & CCW instead of NICS.

Yeah, we were able to bypass NICS for awhile there, under very limited terms. My last NICS check took only seconds - it was great!

Just think of how much safer we are now with all these background checks

So this means in Texas if we have a CHL we now have to still get the NICS check when we buy a gun?

EDIT: Just read the link. It seems in Texas, CHL's will still get you out of the NICS check, but TCLEOSE Licenses will not.

The last sentence of that pdf states that a Texas CHL may still be used instead of NICS.

In Minnesota, we still have to go through the NICS check even if we have a CC permit..............
