Which one of these are you?

Type A Permit Holder—The HeMan

Arrogant, belligerent, domineering personality tinged with paranoia and self-loathing. Airline pilots, ex military, and rout salesmen permit holders tend toward this profile.

Type B-- The Loser

Type B is characterized by a low education level, usually a low achiever. Also aggressive but in a crasser manor than type A. Guns are a social equalizer. Probably a smoker. Does not own a book.

Type C – The Exhibitionist

Similar to type B, but more likely to open carry in the grocery store wearing cammo to attract attention and show superiority. Drives a pick-up with over sized American flags and gun rights stickers.

Type D – The Man Hunter

Low regard for life. Kills any creature that moves.. Exhilarated by killing and fantasizes about gunning down bad guys. Capital Punishment devotee. Prone to domestic violence. May be Evangelical.

Hmmm, can I pick all of the above ?

Knock me over with a feather - - a Denver "News" paper actually admitting to a problem that was not gun related? Specifically "On Sunday, a "mentally challenged" man who occasionally attends Holy Apostles Catholic Church brought a sword to the church. He kept it in a sheath and did not threaten anyone. He told an usher, who asked him to take the sword out of the church, that he wanted to have the sword blessed. The man was not arrested." A MAZING!

As for the Boulder County Sheriff issuing CCWs: Uncle George (Epp) was told by one of his cronies that if he didn't start issuing, his first term of office would be his last (he issued 4 in the first three years in office). He started issuing a bit before re-election time. Sheriff Pele has been gun friendly since way before he first ran for office (too bad he is completing his third term - good guy to have in there).

As far as Jensen's: It would be the regular customers that would throw out the teens. Each teen would have a sales person as a shadow, thus no sales while the teens are in there. Very effective. :D

My wife and I can be added to the list of applicants.

In Adams County, the wait time is 60 - 90 days. The employee
there told me she is seeing an increase in CCW applications due to what people are saying is the concern from the recent church shootings in Colorado.

I live in Teller County Colorado, west of El-Paso county, I read with glee the Gazette article concerning CCW. The Sheriff in El-Paso county is awesome, we need more like him.:D

Both Fox news and another station that just started (sorry I am not sure which one) ran a story on the increase in CCW. They didn't try to depict CCWers as crazy wackos, overall I think it is a good thing to let people outside of the 2nd amendment culture see that they do still retain the right to protect themselves and family from predators and deranged people. If it gets one person who was previously misinformed about what CCW was to get a permit, then that is a good thing.

Personally just having guns on the news when it isn't about some crazy guy shooting up a church or school, or about new laws that will infringe our rights is a positive thing.

Yeah, I think Jensen's would frown on that

Jensen's frowns on anybody that comes in not ready to spend money right now. Their ammo prices are good, but not good enough for me to drive 70 miles and deal with lowsy attitudes at the counter.

My little sister works at a gun shop in Ft. Collins, and they get a surprising number of customers from Loveland who are willing to drive 30 miles and pay slightly higher prices to deal with nicer people (though it's about a wash, as the sales tax where she works is only 3.7%).

Also, how many gun shops let 15 year old HS punks hang out and fondle the merchandise after school? I will always be grateful to them for that

The guy who ran Parker gun store when I was growing up let me hang out in there and fondle guns/BS with customers from the time I was 12. When I came of age, he got lots of business from me, and even more referrals. Dave was a real good guy.

I just read a post over on Opencarry.org by a guy in El Paso county who said after getting his CCW permit, he received a letter from the sheriff, congratulating him on choosing to defend his property and family. Awesome indeed!
