Looking for information from anyone who has this model shotgun. I have used a Browning Citori for skeet the past 3.5 years with good results. Bought the Guerini for my retirement present. The gun with the chokes provided skeet & skeet seems to have a much tighter pattern than standard Briley's. Has anyone noticed this or having the same results?

Thanks,

Shotgun Dave

Browning Invector and Invector-Plus choke tubes are notorious for being more open - about a full step - than what they are marked. Without measuring the bore and the Briley chokes, and patterning the gun, it's hard to say what is going on.

As a shooter on another board phrased it..."Yup, that's the way Browning does it."

I have a Guerini 28 ga. Woodlander fwiw. The chokes pattern as expected.

Odds are Briley made those chokes for your CG - their Italian operation makes the chokes for just about everyone in Europe. They also make the chokes for a lot of other makers both here and abroad.

The CG Summit is an excellent mid-priced target gun capable of going the distance regarding volume shooting; basically based on the B Rizzini action (family connections), they offer a quality gun at a reasonable price and back it up with excellent customer service.

The ability to adjust the POI/POA, balance point, etc., makes this a good gun for targets.

Adding a recoil-attenuation device to the butt is easily done and the weight difference easily corrected

it's a Summit Sporting, not a Summit Impact. Those adjustments to my knowledge are not available on the standard sporting. I may be wrong, but don't think so...

Thanks to all that responded. I will do some experimenting and use only Cylinder chokes and see if that broadens the pattern any. Especially for the close targets. Still getting used to the extra two inches of barrel on this gun.

One Ounce, glad to hear your still kicking :)

I believe you are right, I guess I read more in to it than was posted........(probably cause I was on another thread where it WAS being discussed...this damn multitasking, multi-forum is gonna kill me yet!....:D)
