I've got a Century C93 (HK93 clone) that'll be coming off layaway in about a month. I've done my research on these and know it's a roll of the dice and prepared to work on the rifle if I have to. Luckily owners have figured out the fixes to Century's monkey work in case I don't get a good one. :)

Now of course during the wait I'm thinking about set-up and furniture options.

What choices in stocks, hand guards and top rail mounts are there?

I'm torn between going tactical or classic wood. I'll probably end up doing both at some point. But like to see some options. :D

Did you get any extra mags with it? I have only seen the gun itself offered with one 40rd mag.

I have it on layaway with Buds. It's not mentioned in the description what accessories you get...but the buyer reviews indicated (2) 40rd mags and a bayonet.

I'm personally going to pick up some lower capacity mags for it. The 40 just looks silly huge.

Nice stuff there! Giving me lots of ideas.

Will surplus G3 wood hand guard/stock fit this?

No. As far as i know the C93 has a 16" barrel while the standard G3 has an 18" barrel. The associated handguards are also different lengths.

I have a friend with a PTR91KF with 16" barrel who wants an A3-style "wide" hanguard. His KF came with a billet tri-rail handguard. If you're interested, and your C93 has a "wide" hanguard, PM me and i'll see if he might be willing to trade....

I've got a V-93 I picked up used, its as nice as any HK I've owned. Not sure I'd call it tactical, but it had kind of a buckskin tan furniture; I bought black furniture for it as well but the tan started growing on me before the black got here ... collapsible stock and a tower for a Beta-mag I already had.

I've been doing some digging, and found some pics that ppl have done G3 wood on their C93s. Saw a seller on gunbroker that actually sells c93 with modded G3 wood. I have not had any luck finding right ups on how they did this.

Anyone seen a how-to thread around?

My CETME and C93 with G3 wood sets. There is a fellow on Militaryfirearm board that will mod your wood forearm, join and do a search. Enjoy your C93, I love mine. Also note the G3 lower on the 93..love the retro look.

Not sure about the hand guard, but the stock was pretty easy, just cut away the front hole.

The one pictured here the spring rod had already been removed, but you could just, knock out the roll pins that hold in the end cap, cut it down and drill new holes for the end cap pins and put it back together.
