Does anyone know of a reliable certified Glock armorer that can do simple modifications like swapping slide releases and trigger connectors while you wait?

I met a father and son team at the last Market Hall Gun Show, but have lost their card.

Thanks for the help.

I know who you are talking about--

he was at the Mesquite Show Saturday, and I expect he will be at the Denton Show two weeks from now. I see him at pretty much every gun show I go to. He has a big Glock sign above his table and his first name is Fred--I forget the last name but it might begin with a W(?).

Anyway, nice guy. Perhaps someone else can add the last name and you'll be good-to-go.

I believe the last name I was..

trying to remember is Fred Whitehurst Maybe do a google on him, or come on up to Denton two wekends from now, I bet he'll be there.

There is another guy, TR Graham, who is very good as well, but as regular as he used to be. I believe he took a new job in the Houston area and doesn't get to hit as mant DFW area gun shows as he used to.

If all else fails, check on www.glocktalk.com.

Good luck.

DFW Certified Glock Armorer

I wanted to strongly recommend Cerberus Arms LLC if you need any service work or accessories added to your Glock Pistol or upgrades in the Dallas and North Texas area. As a NRA Pistol Instructor & Texas Concealed Handgun Instructor, they are the only ones who touch my Glocks and their Armorer is Glock Certified. They are highly competent and stay current on all things of Glock. They are true professionals and I know you won't be disappointed. They donated a Glock at the Heroes of Denton County Event at the Texas Motor Speedway and the lady who won the Glock came into my class with it and scored a high score with it and was real happy with her Glock that was upgraded.

Their Glock Armorer is Bernard Hernandez at cerberusarms.com. You will also see my recommendation their as well about him.

Thanks. Just wanted to drop a note. Good Glock Armorers are hard to come by in Dallas.

Thanks for the thought, Flip.

Not a do-it-yourself type.

Detail stripping a Glock is really something you need to learn to do. Especially if that Glock is a defensive weapon and not just a range toy. Detail stripping a Glock is easier than field stripping most other guns. LOL.

The FP channel needs to be kept clean, the trigger spring can do some goofy things when it gets old or when aftermarket parts are used. I've seen the slide lock spring and takedown lever spring go wonky once or twice as well.

Only tool you need is a 3/32 punch.

Absolutely. I had a smith install my sights, but I've done all of the other modifications (extensive) to both of my Glocks myself. The entire pistol can be stripped in minutes with a small punch and a small flathead screwdriver, and every replacement part is literally 'drop-in.'

If you've ever built anything out of Lego's, you can detail strip a Glock. ;)

so easy to do. purchased tHe glock self help video . Have two glocks. do my own parts replacements , tuning per the video. Well spent $39. purchased from the fellow at gun show but same thing avaiable from Midway caled Making Glocks rock published by AGI. By the way the guy that comes to fun shows is the one that made the video.
