Glock will inspect the pistol, replace any parts that need it,refinish the slide and mail it back to you for $45-at least I don't think the price has gone up recently and you need to ask to have the refinish done. It's quite a good deal-wish SIG would refinish slides for $45...-but I decided to "refinish" my own G19 with Scotchbrite when there was more holster wear than not on the slide.Since the steel itself is treated, rusting is not a problem and I think it makes for a nicer looking Glock, not that any Glock is particularly nice looking.
yeah i would spend that extra moey and get a new one, if you don't have the dough for that get a used one, used glocks barely used are pretty easy to find ad inexpensive. inspecting parts is a ownr leve tasks its not that hard to do . there are many factory originals out there that have well over
20k rds through them, dfferent recoil springs but that is it, and anyoe can change that out and they are inexpensive.
