    I have a rifle marked CESKOSLOVENSKA ZBROJOVKA,A.S,BRNO VZ24.
I believe it is a Mauser but I'd like to know a little bit more about it such as caliper , it's history and value. the SS# is 397 I also have the bayonet that goes with it.

This is a Czechoslovakian Mauser, made under licence at Brno, Czechoslovakia for the Czech army and known as the "Vz.24" ("Vzor 24", or "Model of 1924"). It'll be in 8mm Mauser (7.92x57), but value can be a tricky thing; they're going on gunbroker now for anywhere between $150 and $300, depending on condition, but that can change depending on your specific area.
