Anxiously awaiting my 115 gr Hi-tek coated bullets from MBC. I was researching load data for the pistol powders I have on hand (700-X and CFE Pistol) I found my self on Hodgdon's site looking a data for a 115 gr LRN with CFE. I was a little bit surprised that they have data for their "Copper Fouling Eraser" powder with a bullet that could not possibly copper foul anything. Anybody else found this odd? I guess it is a good thing though, cause I will probably end up using some of it for my coated ones until I get somewhere to pick up something more appropriate (cheaper if possible).

I would guess they have the load data simply because loaders tend to use what they have on hand, especially when they can't get other powder. I think it is pretty cool that they offer that data.

"Copper Fouling Eraser" is a feature that can be ignored. Copper Fouling is much more of an issue for rifle applications than pistol in any event. However, if you compare the power charts for Hodgdon/Winchester/IMR for pistol powers, CFE Pistol is the only one that is marked as suitable for all uses (light target to magnum, pg 66, 2017 load guide). My experience is that it produces good results for plated, coated and jacketed bullets. Burns clean and measures well. I put it right in their with my other favorites, HP-38 and TiteGroup.

My package from Missouri arrived last night and I went ahead and loaded up 50 with the CFE. Agreed that it is a easy measuring and clean burning powder.
