has anyone on here done business with this company recently?

I have tried to contact them several times and no answer.

I am looking for a 223 Rem to 22 Hornet adapter for my contender barrel. The website lists adapters at less than 30 dollars per and figured it would be a neat little item to have.

thanks!

Not too recently, but a couple years ago... I seem to recall it was a one man operation out of a garage or something.

Hope this helps.
From what I remember, the original owner sold out to a new guy. That guy works at making the adapters seasonally but it is not his regular job--you might find more info on his website. At one time, don't remember whether it is the original owner or new guy, they did make custom adapters.

This guy talks about chamber adapters on youtube. Skip the first 7 mins.

Here is the company he is talking about. https://www.gunadapters.com/

I really don't understand the whole "mulit cal" chamber adapter thing. Seems to me the projectile won't engage the rifling and it will shoot like crap. I must be missing something.

Ive seen their products. the adapters they have actually have a small amount of rifling present in their adapters. At least some of them do.

The short chamber adapters like the OP is seeking have no rifling.

The adapters meant to fit in shotgun tubes usually have rifling as the shotgun adapters are essentially barrels.

I have a stainless chamber adapter that I bought from MCAce a few years ago. I did use email communication, but response time was slow. My question was "did I need an broken shell extractor for a .32ACP to .308 chamber adaptor. The answer was: no as the adapter wasn't the the type that loctites in the chamber like the 7.62x39 to .308 adapter does.

I can't remember how I ordered the adapter, probably via snail mail with a letter and check made out to MCAce.

I use a Hammond Game Getter. This is a modified cartridge case -- it appears to have an off-center primer pocket, but the primer pocket is really a chamber for a .22 RF. It is off center so the centerfire firing pin will hit the rim. Load it with a nail-setting blank, and put a sized shot in the case mouth (the sizing die comes with the Game Getter.) Mine cost me $40, but that was in 2006.

Thanks for posting that. I came across a very favorable reference to his stuff years ago but lost the contact information.

okay so he did get ahold of me. got to thinking about it and if they are retired and do it as a hobby...well...I'd respond at my own pace as well. :D

Sending the funds and will be getting my adapter soon I hope. :)

he took so long to answer because he had a stroke. he is alive and well and now back in the shop. give it a little time and your adapter will be on it's way. A new website will be up shortly as he had problems with the last server. Thank you for the support!
