Channeling your inner Dirty Harry

Used to carry a 5.5" Colt SAA in .357, it was the only handgun I owned at the time. Had a shoulder holster and belt holsters for it, used whatever seem appropriate at the time. More than once I just stuck it in my waistband, sans holster.

I figured 5 rounds of .357 out of a cowboy gun was better than nothing.

When rare jacket weather hits here I will carry my 7 1/2" Redhawk on occasion in a classic shoulder rig similar to Dirty Harrys, it's made by Bucheimer, out of business I think. It conceals very well under a light nylon windbreaker. It does help that I'm tall.

Not channeling dirty Harry

Well I'm, 6'-6", so I can carry my M29 8 3/8 in my old Bianchi X-15, but only with a jacket of some kind. That clam-shell is more for security than fast draw.

I'd love to carry my M24 3-inch RB, except that it's too darn valuable! Bought it new; case-candy and all.

I recently bought a 2nd Model H.E .44 that's been re-nickled. Can't hurt the value of it.
