I'm assuming the cases aren't long enough to fully lever the discs over the drop hole... as i'm only getting them about halfway over and I'm getting incomplete charges and a pile of powder remaining on the PAD base.

Is this a known issue? Any way around it? Do they make a longer charging stem/activator thing for .30 carbine or similar length cases?

Usually my PAD throws very consistent charges of Winchester ball powders but I haven't tried throwing 13ish grains before, nor have I tried to use the rifle charging die with .30 carbine.

Ideas/thoughts?

Looks like my guess was correct...

"This die is used to charge small capacity rifle cases ranging from 22 caliber to 30 caliber with a minimum case length of 1.403" to a maximum case length of 2.015" (Ex: 22 Hornet to the 308 Winchester) using the Auto-Disk Powder Measure."

Wonder if Lee makes a longer deallie for this thingamabob.

So they make a "short charging die" that would work. But I called Lee and they said they make a .30 M1 Carbine powder through expanding die, which would save me a step. $20 later it's in the mail.
