I am considering an auto in 12 gauge for waterfowling. I examined the Charles Daly auto field at WalMart. It's price is 239 dollars, made in Turkey. What do any of you know about this shotgun? Is it based on any particular make? Thanks

Owned one. Sold it and bought a BPS.

You may do the same. It went bang all the time, but since I was getting into trap & skeet I could tell it wouldn't go the distance. Just not built well.

Charles Daly's are solid and reliable, but I think you would be better off getting a Remington or Mossberg for the ease of getting parts, and as mentioned, CD's don't print the best patterns.

Thanks for the input, maybe I'll resist the temptation and stick with my old model 12, was thinking the three inch and steel shot capability would be nice for duck hunting.
