Pump or semi? For that price I'm betting pump. I think you would be better served with a Mossberg/Maverick or similar gun myself. The Daly's have a hit and miss reputation. You could pay only a little more and get much more gun.
Used? The new ones go for $300ish around here. Honestly, Daly's have a reputation for being cheap in every sense of the word. Whether that is deserved or not is a good question. I think a lot of people don't like the thought that a foriegn made semi can keep up with their American guns at a third the price. But you're not going to find even a used Remington auto in that price range.
I shoot pumps so I can't help you much. If thats what you want you're probably getting a good deal on it.
