I have the TZ 99 which is the same design as the CD ZDA and I like it, mainly because it is designed for leftys. You need fairly big hands for a proper grip. poppy

How big is big? I don't have overly large hands, but I can comfortably hold a beratta 92.

The TZ99/CD ZDA actually has improvements over the Sig, but that wasn't the question. The trigger reach is about the same on the ZDA and the 92FS so if a Beretta fits then the ZDA will also. Both have trigger reaches greater than my FN HP. poppy

Hey guys, this gun is in the newest CDNN catalog for $340. I had a Golan (an earlier Israeli version) and, while it's ok, it's much bigger than it looks from the pictures. Mine was a .40SW. Did not like anything but full power ammo (it choked on pet loads that most of my other .40s did very well with). Frame size roughly approximates the Sig 226 (it's a little wider b/c of the decocker "ears" on both sides) while the slide & barrel length is equivalent to the Sig 229. I would agree trigger reach is about the same as a Beretta 92FS. It has ambidextrous magazine (similar to XD magazine release) and decocker (ala Sig) controls, but, curiously, the slide lock is not ambidextrous. I would think this gun would be a decent hit with lefties, but it is a duty size gun, so maybe that's what's limiting sales. My local shop has had a CZ99 in the case for at least the last 5 years (he'll never move it at the price he's got on it, but he's got it priced as low as his profit margin allows and he will not take a hit on it).

It is, the decocker and slide lock are combined into the same lever which is on both sides of the gun.

What I want to know is if there is a way to mount a tactical light or a light/laser combination on it even though it doesn't have rails.

Oh yeah, now I remember. Been a while since I got rid of mine. First push on the decocker lever will drop the slide, let up slightly and push down again and you get decock.

Didn't Surfire or one of those companies make a generic rail (attached to triggerguard if I'm not mistaken)? That would be the only way to mount a light or laser. A good gunsmith should be able to fashion a rail that looks factory, but it might cost half the price of the gun.

the low magazine indicator sounds like a jam waiting to happen... interesting but... just my 2 cents

From what I read, you can remove the spring from the magazine follower to eliminate that feature.

If I'm not mistaken, they were in CDNN's last catalog. If you're unfamiliar with them it is www.cdnninvestments.com. Hit the link titled Download Latest Catalog. This was released sometime last month. If I'm right, and it was there, they'll still have a bunch, probably for a real good price.
