Nice to see the information. I don't suppose they sell the "special" screwdriver? They should've included the damn thing in the box with the gun. They don't import the gun anymore, no new prospects for who will, and CDNN is closing these things out right cheap. I had an Israeli made Golan .40 that's basically the same gun. Didn't have that LSI pin though. Shot it a bit, decided it wasn't me, and traded it for what I had in it (I bought it used). As I recall, the way it was sprung, it wouldn't eat anything but full power .40 loads. I had some reloaded .40 that ran fine in my S&Ws and even in my G22 but this gun choked at least once every mag. Tried out 200 rounds of factory stuff and it went without a hitch.
This gun has been imported in several guises. I've seen them as the Charles Daly, Golan, TZ-99, CZ-99, and a Yugoslavian version with rather ratty hardwood grips whose designation escapes me. They're big, coming in somewhere between a Sig 226 and 229. Workmanship strikes me as decent, well worth the $250 I paid for my example. I'm surprised this design hasn't done better.
