did I need more reasons to love that man? No. On the same note, did I need more reasons to hate him! What a truly gorgeous and enviable collection.

I've seen that picture before. But where I saw it it was toted as being the collection of some anti and that they're all made to not function any more or something like that.

It was a long time ago, though.

From the P38 Forum:

This room housed Bruce Stern's collection. He was an attorney, an NRA director, and a lifelong advocate of gun rights. He recently passed away; his collection was sold by Julia Auctions at the beginning of May.

These pictures only show some of the Class 3 stuff; he also had scores of U.S., German, Soviet, Japanese, and other sniper rifles as well as miscellaneous small arms from around the globe. A look at his collection was like a hands-on trip through the book "Small Arms of the World."

We really should just sticky this thread at the top, It seems to come up about every 1-3 months :D. Also, I wish I was that person, hehe.

This is the 4th time I've seen those pictures posted but the first time I heard who they belong(ed) to. Amazing collection. He must have been, um, doing well financially, to put it mildly. Unless he got the bulk of them before 86.

It looks like enough stuff for the Stern collection, but this would be the first place it has been called that.

These pics show up on every board twice a day as somebody's collection,,,the big question is who owned it and is it real?

Some collection. Love the naval water-tight door leading to what looks like another chamber. Some people have all of the really great toys...
