Hi Folks, I'm a new member and have a question I'm sure you can help me with. I have a old pistol that hasn't been fired in probably 30 years and would like to dismantle and clean. Where might I locate instructions for this task? Ser # 233578

You don't want to do that with a Charter Arms, trust me.

Once you punch out the pins and drop the trigger guard out of the frame, it's all over until you find a gunsmith to put it back together.

Buy a can of Gun-Scrubber, or good old WD-40 and hose it out real good while working the action.

Then blow it out with an air compressor and re-oil with Rem-Oil.

As RC said, unless you're very mechanically inclined and familiar with the internals, don't take it apart further than removing the cylinder and grips. The CA is fairly simple in design, but quite challenging to reassemble if you're not accustomed to using slave pins and manipulating things that pretty much need 5 hands.
