There is one of these up for sale locally for $275 in good condition looks to be original grips. Seems a little high to me what do you guys figure there worth?
My dad bought his very cheap. He paid only R500.00. That is something like $50.00. And it is not in a bad condition.

If it's in good shape I think $275 is reasonable.
The Bulldog is a nice gun & the .44 Special is a great ctg.

I've never seen a nickle Bulldog.
Were many made, was it original?
Thanks

The .44 Special is one of my favorite ctgs. & the Bulldog is an easy way to pack one. Not for heavy loads, but there are some nice loads out there Speer Gold Dot is one, & if you handload wellllllll ;) it's load some nice light ones for everyday & carry factory for defense. :D

Huge thanks to you Sarge. We have received the grips and it is a perfect fit.
I want to upload the before and after pics, but see I cannot post them here as attachments.

I just want some help from the forum members on how to correctly attach these grips.
Like I said they are a perfect fit, but we are stupid and do not know how to correctly fit the grips. The reason is that the one grip needs to get a hole drilled etc for the screw to permanently attach the grips. What other parts like washers etc are needed for this task?

Edit, here are the pics

Hunter those should help reduce felt recoil.

Some of the grips have a blind nut for the screw in the opposite side. That is there is a nut for the attaching screw there, but it can't be seen from the outside?
Someone with more knowlege will come along shortly I'm sure.
Keep us informed.
Thanks

Hunter, the left grip panel has the nut molded into it. Look at the inside of the left grip, about mid way down, and you will see where the screw goes into the grip. Press the two halves together, over the grip frame and run the screw into the right grip, and tighten. Dont tighten it too much, the screw is longer than it needs to be. It will cause a bump to appear on the left grip if you tighten it too much. Tighten the screw until you see the bump appear, then back it off until there is no bump.

New posts, so I was re reading. A Buddy had an old style Bull Dog that had been Armaloy-ed. He briefly went Pachmyer on it then back to the original Bulldog grips for CCW.

You know I had been thinking about doing some trading to get my two kids something semi auto and .380 to 9Mak-ish. Now that I think on it maybe I should think about the Undecovers for them. Not as sexy, but very serviceable and very flexible as to loads. My son saw his Mom's and commented that the short barreled guns could not be very accurate. When I told him of his Mom bouncing gallon milk jugs at 125 yard with hers in the way back he got a thoughtful look on his face......

Consider the police undercover

My brother bought himself, his wife and kids the 2 inch CHARTER ARMS Police Undercover. It is a six shot .38 Special on the same small frame used for the Bulldog .357 and .44 models.

I shot it and liked it.

About like the old COLT Detective Special.
