Get Greek HXP or Lake City M2 surplus from the CMP. I prefer the Greek HXP. It is more accurate than the late production Lake City M2.
Do not shoot Olympic ammunition which is from Greece. This stuff may say M2 spec on it, but it's not. It may shoot at M2 spec velocity, but they use a slower burning powder which is not M2 spec and is not Garand safe.
I have shot Lake City and Korean PS headstamp ammo. Both seem to work okay though I can't say if the Korean is accurate or not. I have not tried to shoot the Korean KA headstamp ammo as it is supposed to be corrosive. I haven't tried to buy any of the Greek stuff from CMP though I might pick up a case this year.
I have tried to avoid any ammo I wasn't sure about. It is hard to find quality ammo that is any cheaper than what CMP sells.
