I want a surefire forend for my 870, but I can't justify spending as much on a light as I did on the gun itself, so I'm hunting for alternatives. Does anyone know where to find a clamp to attach a small flashlight to a shotgun's magazine extension? Any other ideas for a light that won't cost too much? I am not worried about pressure switches or anything like that, just a simple way (other than duct tape) to attach a light to my gun. Thanks!

The clamp that comes with most barrel extensions should work. Clamp one end to the tube and a flashlight in the other end. I used mine on my AK, but it should work the same with a shotty.

Hsd one of these setups for the Minimag Lite. The bulb destructs after maybe 6 shots. Sometimes it doesn't destruct, but must be reseated to function.IOW, it may get you through one crisis, or maybe not.

When it's my $%^&*( on the line, or my family's, maybes aren't good enough...

www.quik2see.com about $40 and works well. Use an LED-head Surefire light (under $60) and bulb suicide is not a problem, it's an LED. You can mount it on your shotgun as well as your rifle and switch the light to the weapon you're currently using.
