cheap SKS?

Are there any cheap SKSs out there any more? RIA has a lot of 4 for 600-900, but I've never used them. It doesn't look as easy as ebay. Also, is the 7.62x39 ammo going to drop in price anytime soon? I don't want to pay 30 cents a round.

Lots of them out there. You should be able to get one less $ 250 anytime.

Probably won't drop much if it does, but you can still find 7.62x39 for under $.20 if you look.

Look for Yugo SKS's. They will be around $200-$250 now.

Samco has Yugo SKS's for about $230 plus shipping. These are numbers matching guns according to their website. They can be found second hand in many places as well. anything more than about $250 is too much in my opinon for a yugo.

There were some other auctions with SKSs too. At my local gander mountain there is a yugo for $170. What should I inspect it for before buying?

always inspect before buing. but that sounds like a good price. the Yogo's are not corme lined like other SKS's but i have never had a problem with mine. i would stick with the stock 10 rd mag and use stripper clips. if you get it enjoy.
