7.62x39 Rifles that are not AKs or SKS?

Actually, you would be lucky if you could find a Dragunov for $5000 dollars.

You can find ROMANIAN PSL's which are hardly the same thing, for 600 dollars. That isnt the same round the OP was looking for either.
Doesnt a PSL shoot a 7.62x54 as well?

My AR-15 upper in 7.62x39 works fine, as long as I use the Colt factory mags with the proper magazine follower. Some aftermarket mags haven't been as reliable. I shoot steel case and brass ammo out of it, and I had one extractor break on me, but I haven't been able to link that to the type of ammo, or a part defect. I replaced it with a DPMS extractor, and it's fired several hundred rounds of Wolf and Norinco ammo with no problems.

My Mini-30 would eat anything I put in it. My AR with a Model 1 upper and the 10 round C-Products mags eats anything I put in it. The AR is more accurate, but then again, I never put any “precision” rounds through the Mini when I had it. And the guy I sold the Mini to is tickled to death with it. And all he shoots is junk ammo.

In addition to obvious (and highly recommended) choices like CZ-527 or VZ-58, it should also be possible to get a custom barrel for Thompson/Center Pro Hunter chambered in 7.62x39.

Has anyone mentioned the Rasheed? (basically an Egyptian Ljungman in 762x39). Love my CZ-527...

My ('03/'04) Mini 30 only had about ten FTFs on the first strike, none on the second, out of about 1,500 rds. The only ammo is modern Wolf and Monarch.

Less than 1% is any problem.

Could other peoples' guns with dirty chambers (seldom cleaned) be a factor?

What kind of accuracy are you acheiving with your Mini-30 with Wolf? 3-4 MOA?

The internet is full of reports of Mini-30s not running well with steel cased ammo.

Try the new Sig 556R

Its a Sig rifle that accepts standard AK mags.

Theyre just now hitting dealer shelves.

flakbait:
If the question is about my 30, I can not help you determine that, because the targets (oranges, small plastic bottles) are by a river from about 100 feet or less.

Other than having less than 1% FTFs, it has had about the same tiny percentage of stovebolts.

Really good for aftermarket mags in Minis (?): two metal (ss and blued) 10-rd. Promags, shipped in early '08.
Again, only Russian ammo from about '08 or later has been used in my Minis or SKS. Just bought another case from Ammoman.
