Cheaper Than Dirt's name is a big lie for some items.

Having just checked prices for their 7.62 x 39 ammo at 'gun-deals.com', other than with two US etc type brands, CTD's prices are the two highest per round, and this is for Wolf etc.

Do they treat sellers as chumps with many other products?
I'm not buying any ammo these days except for x54R, and have noticed that months before the election, CTD's name appeared to be an insulting facade/disguise for high prices. Just one opinion and certainly don't speak for anybody else.

They have definitely changed over the years. They really used to be "Cheaper Than Dirt" with some cool surplus goodies as well.

They along with Sportsman's Guide (to a lesser extent) cater to idiots these days that don't have the common sense to shop around. At least at the Sportsman's Guide you can still find a deal if you sort through the crap. Cheaper than Dirt are just plain con artists.

I find Cheaper that DIrt prices are generally high I don't do business with them because the don't sell ammo to New York state.They have the rest of the state lumped in with NYC. Wideners has always had better prices on ammo

First of all, I shop at Sportsman's Guide when I see a good deals and I'm not an idiot. Perhaps the smarter class of people such as yourself should put a list together for the idiots to follow. I have paid for the membership, made purchases and recouped the membership fees on the first purchase. It's usually one of the cheapest places to purchase ammo.
It's a pretty well known fact that Cheaper Then Dirt hasn't had good prices on most items for several years.

On a similar note, I have noticed that some things at Walmart are cheaper on a per-volume basis if you buy the smaller box. Capitalize on people who assume that the bigger box is the better deal I assume.

Relax there I have ordered from the sportsman's guide since they first started also but they generally are not the cheapest source for ammo and their prices are not what they used to be. There is a website out there that lists all the surplus 7.62 Nato at the price per round. From the websites on that list you can usually find the cheapest places to buy ammo. Though these days it is a toss up. I have never once in the past 4 years though found the Sportsman's guide to have cheapest price for ammo, before then yes. They do offer some good buys on some random surplus items though most of the best deals are put on back order and then cancelled.

Just because they sell the cool stuff we all love doesn’t mean they are in business to arm the populace as a charitable endeavor. Although we’re almost there, this is not quite yet a socialist economy. Businesses exist for one reason and one reason only; to make money. They don’t exist to provide jobs or healthcare to employees and they don’t exist to make your life easier. They don’t sell things as a ‘favor’ to you or anyone else, they sell things to make money for the owner or owners. Sorry, but that’s it. If you feel slighted that something costs more there, buy that something elsewhere.
