For my birthday my wife let me get all the parts and pieces to build my first AR. Had a lot of fun and learned a ton. Haven't shot it yet, just finished putting it together a few minutes ago. I know I used some parts that some may say aren't fantastic but from what I learned and read on this forum and others, it will work just fine for me.
Stag - buttstock, lower parts kit, upper receiver, bolt/carrier group, gas block
Daniel Defense barrel
Yankee Hill free floated handguard
DPMS lower, gas tube, 3 prong flash hider

It wasn't too bad at all. I read up on it. Watched the videos on Brownell's website and a few on You tube. Took my time. One thing I noticed is that I followed people's recommendations on what to do so you don't scratch the parts as you put it together, but even with that, I did scratch a few things. I am ok with that as I use my guns and don't really baby them. Someone mentioned on a forum that it is a tool, and scratches are ok. I go with that. Makes me feel better.

Addictive

I plan on it and soon I hope. This is addictive. I sit around now and plan what the next build will be. I have my next 2 or 3 in planning. Will modify each day of course, but what a rush. Lots of fun.
