OK, reloaded close to 400 rnds of 9MM and they work great,so now I'm moving on to Shooters Choice, .45ACP, 200grn hard casts L SWC's....sized .452

Last night read all the searches I could find on taper crimps, OAL's and how to check for fitments.

Took the Gold Cup apart and dropped round in barrel, slides right in...this is what I'm looking for right?

One last check here to be sure, before I make a few to take to the range tomorrow.

This round is UNIQUE: 5.4, LEE AD cavity .66, OAL is 1.240 and crimped to .469

Thanks all, Tom

Everything looks right. Loaded round should drop right in and fall right out. Your ammo should shoot well. Your barrel has pretty liberal throating so you really shouldn't have any problems in feeding.

You've got the right idea and you're pics look fine.

HOWEVER, most people who are at all concerned about OAL eventually end up buying a Case Gage simply because it is less hassle than taking the barrel out all the time.

You can get a Case Gage for any of the most popular calibers from most Reloading supply places. Off the top of my head I would say that cost should be less than $15 per handgun caliber, possibly cheaper than that.
