cheek weld adjustment?

Perhaps you all can help. I have a problem with cheek weld height on my remington LTR(leupold 3-10x40mm) and an AR varminter rifle(leupold 6.5-20x50). On both rifles my eye is just a little too low with a proper cheek weld. This makes me break the weld to bring my eye up a bit, and I believe decreases my accuracy. I have tried the delta cheek piece already and this brings my eye/cheek up way too high. Also I cannot use lower rings as my objective barely clears on the rifles.

My question is this- what do you gurus use to get some fine adjustment for your cheek weld to maintain proper eye alignment with your scope?

sorry can't help, but i use low(er) rings. all my scopes, except my load development scope and 1000 yard gun/scope have 40mm or less obj's... maybe you can swap/sell scopes for something shorter?

on the ar, you're kind of stuck. not much you can do w/ it that i'm aware of.

308win posted the actual product page for Eagle. My link is to Triad Tactical, a guy who is an authorized seller for Eagle Industries products. Reputable dealer, Triad hangs on mostly on The Sniper's Hide forums. I think you'll find it easier to order through Triad than through Eagle since Eagle will charge you full retail. There will be also be a wait if they don't have any ready in stock since a lot of their gear needs to go overseas for direct military purchases or to their authorized dealers.

Simple answer? Go to WalMart and buy some mole-foam (you'll find it in the pharmacy area in the Dr. Scholl's display.)

Mole foam is a thin closed cell foam with an adhesive backing. You cut a piece in an oval, peel off the backing and stick it on the comb. You can stack it two- or three-high, if needed.

Thanks for the tip Vern. I guess it has the added benefit of keeping my cheek from developing bunions! Seriously though that is a great idea. Now if they only made the mole foam in cammo
