Chiappa .22 AR Upper?

Anyone used a Chiappa .22 AR upper?

I saw an ad for one today. Price was OK but I want to know how they work before thinking seriously about buying one.

So far I'm less than thrilled with their 1911 .22 pistol. What magazine does it take? What is an OK price?

I paid a lot for my Spikes' Tactical .22 upper, but it uses the Black Dog mags and has been as reliable as a .22 rimfire can be with the cheap Federal bulk pack -- zero failures other than a few clicks from dud rounds.

The articles I've read say the Chiappa upper uses Black Dog mags.

Anyone know if they are an acutal .22 bore? or if its just a .223 barrel on a polymer upper. I'd like at least a little accuracy.

btt.. any actual owners wish to comment on these cheaper .22lr uppers?

As I understand it, they are dedicated .22 LR 1/16" twist barrels. I would be interested in any reports of fit, finish and accuracy.
