Chicago sounds like Canada...

Not only does it not stop Chicago's gun crime "problem" but it makes it worse because if you forget you re-register people will just dump guns to get rid of them and then they WILL end up where they shouldn't.

and you've still got leftists sitting at home cowering in fear that someone is going to shoot at them and they think more legislation will help...

Canada and the US should initiate a citizenship swap program where any one can trade citizenships with someone else and all the leftists can move to Canada and all of the Canadians who are sick of the poor governance provided by decades of leftist direction can move to the states and then there would be one happy safe country and one country that is paralyzed by fear and oppression... and each country would insist the other was the worse.

No Chicago is not at all like Canada. Pressed to name a comparable place, Mogadishu springs immediately to mind. Daley, Mell and some others are more like warlords then politicians and everything in the city is run for their personal profit. Other powerful factions are the Gangster Disciples and the Latin Kings. The only difference between the factions and the warlords is that the factions don't try to hide the fact they run criminal enterprises.

The corruption that is Chicago never ceases to amaze me.

The Alderman that passes a law doesn't follow the law?

The easy "Chicago Solution" to the rescue, make a law that decriminalizes whatever it is that the Alderman did that he shouldn't have done. This is really a case of unfair political practice in my eyes.

Laws do not apply equally to all, I'm sorry to say.

A native of New Orleans referred to the Crescent City as a third-world banana republic masquerading as a modern American city. Sounds like the Windy City is a sister city to New Orleans.

My wife says she loves me because I would never do to her what her first husband did: take her to live in Chicago.
