I got a mak-90 that was originally an under folder, it's got that weird looking plug thing. anyway I was wanting to get it looking like the type 56s under folders, however I don't want to fork over the $$$ for a real noricno/polytech folding stock after looking at different variants it seems like the romanian ak folding stocks have a similar profile and angle to them. from what I can tell they look to be dull blue like the chicom ak's. I was wondering if I put a romanian stock on my norinco would it look like a chicom stock or not (I'm not an AK aficionado, I've never seen a romanian folder in person) also their similar appearance got me thinking about the 75 round mags and how china and romania make the same pattern. Did china get a lot of tooling from romania or vice versa?

China's stamped AK's are descended from their milled AK's and Romania's AK's are an artifact of their Soviet occupation. I don't think there was any particular intermingling between the two.

Even though they are both single locking angled underfolders, I don't think they are interchangeable.

You could follow up over on akfiles.
