That's like saying you drove a Ford Pinto and will never buy another American car....
No, no it's not. I'm talking about tools/machines that were used to build products for nuclear power plants. Most of the machines we were using were American and German made with one Swiss manufactured machine. They all worked great, had perfect precision so long as the user knew what they were doing, and held up to use. I can't say the same for the machines that were manufactured in China, by a Wisconsin company. I wanted to take a cutting torch to them on a daily basis.

I'm not saying the Chinese can't build something usable, but I have little faith in them producing anything of the highest quality. Where US companies screw up is trying to build cheap products to compete with cheap Chinese products. Many Chinese business men have stated the same.

Then the Wisconsin based company probably either went to a crappy manufacturer, gave the manufacturer crappy specs, or set a crappy price point.

Some of the Volks Wagons which came out of Germany were crap too...

Manufacturing regulations in China are either non-existent, or they aren't enforce. There is also a ton of outright copying. If an outside company goes in there and gives a good price point, gives good specs and follows up on QC, they will get a good product. Like I said earlier, pretty much all major components in computers are made in China. There is some absolute crap which will blow as soon as you turn it on, and there are components which can be stuffed in a hot, stuffy, dusty closet and run for years without a problem.

No thank you. I will only buy my guns for two countries - the USA and Germany (with the exception of my Russian Saiga AK). :)

And aside from small border skirmishes, when has the Chinese ever used their weapons for anything but parade carry?

Im sorry, but for those that fear the Chinese, from a military standpoint, we would mop the floor with them. They are not EVER taking ANYTHING over from "us"/ "the west". Bring it.

Back on topic, USA only for me when dealing with AR parts. United we stand, divided we fall. (IMO, this includes R vs D as well)

Why not? Pretty much everything on shelves now is made in PRC. I would love to see some 'China Sports' ammo at local sporting goods store shelves too.

Nope, don't want Chinese AR15 lowers. They should stick to AK's and SKS's.

Even if China could manage to produce quality AR parts, I will always support our domestic economy instead if I can help it. To me, Some things are ok to buy imported, but some are not.

Sure I may like Chinese food, but I like my guns American made :D

How do we know American gun makers not buying semi-finished parts from China to reduce cost like auto industry or any other industry?
