Betcha anything the Chinese gun writers took their cue from the Japanese gun mags. The photography and technical detail is certainly up to Japanese standards. Kudos to them.

BTW, I submitted an article on muzzle loading in China to Muzzle Loader magazine. It's only been about two months and it's far too early to get the rejection slip.

Now this is just freaky--

The title is something like "Youth Science Pictures". I think it may not be a gun rag at all, but a science magazine for teens that did a couple of issues on gun technology (like how Popular Science occasionally has an issue with a lot of military technology in it.)

waynzwld, "Lao Wei" is Mandarin. "Gwei Lo" is Cantonese. The literal translation of each is different, but they both refer to foreigners.

Really, the magazine is in mandarin, I was told by a Chinese All the different dialects use the same characters, just the pronounciation and sometimes the meaning is different. I have been told that as long a a person from Hong Kong uses writen text, a person from Beijing can understand when reading it. They just can't communicate verbally very well.
The Asian Trinity I was told is Zhang Ziyi.
The other chinese woman, that was her FIRST TIME EVER firing a weapon of any type, her 100 yard group was 1".

Perhaps it's appropriate to suggest that if you are trying to romanize the Chinese language... please use the standard Beijing pinyin system. It would help ease the confusion. Wade Giles sucks!!

I actually never bothered to learn the pinyin system. Doesn't that romanize Mandarin only? I speak Cantonese.

The magazine is written in Chinese. Mandarin and Cantonese are different pronounciations of Chinese.

The caption next to Trinity says she's a Japanese action star.
