Buck can be shot from any choke., Often the best results come from the more open constrictions. Until you test a particular load in YOUR shotgun, you won't know.
Slugs oft work best with little or no choke, but exceptions abound. Again, you must test for best results.

Guns of different manufacturers are different and there is a vast difference in ammunition. Therefore you must pattern everything . You have to find out exactly how your gun , with your chokes pattern with each specific type and brand of ammunition.
