I have a Mossberg 835 that has the factory Modified tube stuck in it. It has only been in for two months. I took out an after market x-tra full before I put the Modified in. The shotgun is 14 years old and I have changed the chokes a countless number of times without any trouble. I even let it soak in WD40 for 30 minutes and it still would not come loose. Any advice? I love the gun and don't want to do anything to damage the barrel so no extream suggestions please. If it won't come out it will just be a dove gun which is basically what it is now anyway. Thanks for any help.

"...in for two months..." Wet conditions the last time you used it? Rust forms a whole bunch faster than 60 days.
WD for 30 minutes isn't long enough. Mind you, WD is a light weight penetrating oil. Try a bit of heat. A propane torch is cheap. First though, are you sure it was the right thread?

Sunny and 85 the last time I put it in. I'm sure it was the right thread since it's worked for 14 years. I thought that 30 minutes of WD would probably not be enough but I was hoping to use the x-tra full choke for a turkey shoot in the morning. Now I just want to get the Modified out. I will try the heat, never thought of it, will let you know if it works.

Stick the Barrel in a Chest Freezer.
Use something to protect from condensation, wrap in waxed paper and let sit.
Last one I did, I used Ballistol to penetrate, and protect, toss in freezer, check a day later, repeat, the second day choke was able to be removed.

Stuck Choke Tube

Use the "Carrot & Stick" method!
I have seen gunsmiths in Canada use this method to remove stuck choke tubes.
The theory is that heat expands and cold contracts. Heating expands the barrel and then cooling the choke tube with the frozen carrot contracts it so that it should be easier to start. Soaking for a few days (not hours, days) in a penetrating solvent like Liquid Wrench (check auto stores) can work wonders too.
(I kinda thought of Red Green when I wrote this but since it does not involve Duct Tape....
)

- Buy some carrots slightly larger than barrel diameter
- Put Carrots in freezer and freeze solid
- Get stick of soft wood roughly barrel diameter
- Get Rubber Hammer
- Use Hair Dryer or Heat Gun to get the barrel and choke tube as hot as possible without damaging the blue or sight
- Tap outside of barrel where choke tube threads are with stick
- Take frozen carrot and jam into muzzle/choke tube with rubber hammer
- Immediately put in choke tube wrench and apply pressure
