choke tubes on chopped 1200

I've got an Winchester 1200 that has had its barrel cut back to 18". How big a deal is it to have it threaded for choke tubes. I don't have anyone "local" I can ask?

I had an 870 barrel threaded for chokes (and had the forcing cone lengthened) last year by Mike Orlen in Amherst, MA. Exceptionally good work, super-fast turnaround, and highly reasonable prices. Google should turn up a pdf with his phone and prices. I'd highly recommend him (I got hooked up with him through a bunch of recommendations at Shotgunworld).
