this one is between these two clones only. i am already familar with the offerings from colt, kimber, springfield, wesson, daly, wilson, etc.

these have the followwing in common:
1. 4.25" barrel
2. alloy frame (full sized ones have steel frames)
3. novak style fixed sights
4. .45 chambering
5. common custom touches (hammer, trigger, beavertail, magwell, etc.)

differences that matter are:

PXT, priced at $599, has their new extractor and fully ramped chamber.

SC, priced at $699, has the Ti frame.

i'm looking for one as a carry piece until my name gets to the top of ned christensen's list

I chose the 1911 SC but I am really intrested in.........

the PO as well. I have had the Sc for about a month now and have put close to 1000 rounds through it. Nary a problem anywhere. Accuracy is good too. I have carried it as a CCW and it is a winner in that category as well. Light and comfortable, reliable, accurate, and dependable. Can't say a bad thing about mine. I recommend it highly. Good shooting;)

I'm actually somewhat interested in the SW scandium, so my vote goes to the 1911Sc....

The SW fits well in my hand, and is well built.

The POs that I've shot were kinda mediocre. They shot straight and stuff but doesn't give that "quality" feel like other 1911 clone manufactures do. I have a weird bias against POs... partly cuz from what I read on the 1911 forums, and the other from my unimpressive range sessions with them. A souless 1911...

Hey, if you look closely in the middle of my post "POs".... haha, it says piece of ____. Hahaha.... pun intended? :D

Having played with an LTC fairly extensively, I gotta say that I'm underwhelmed. Mechanically okay, but the controls just look like something that should be found on a Bersa or Chuck Daly, with their iffy nickel finish emphasizing their cast nature. Also, it still has that oh-so-attractive finish that causes my gunsmith to refer to them as "Painted Ordnances".

The S&W 1911's I've handled have been of uniform high quality.
