I just got my 7-08 Mesa back from Christensen.
It was sent in for a couple hairline cracks in the stock, running from the rear of the inlet back.

I filled out the online form, got the rma and prepaid shipping lable, and had the hardest time getting a box. Other than that the initial process was smooth and trouble free.

Shipped the rifle on Christensens dime, got it back on Christensens dime.

I did get a call a few days after they got the rifle to ask if my Spartan Bi-pod mount was epoxied in .....which it was. They didnt promise they would be able to get it out undamaged, but said they would try and install it in the new stock they were installing.

Gun got back about 3 days later bi-pod mount installed (better than i did....and i was really proud of the job i did too lol).

I got out and shot it late last weekend, and was rewarded with 5" groups. Two bottom targets, one bullet missed the box on the right.

......turns out my scope failed. As I zero'd/shot it today and got 1" groups, which is about as good as i can do with this rifle.

Anyway guns home, im happy.

sent the whole gun, they bed the actions (just spot bedding in the lug area) to the stocks. I just sent them the pictures of the cracks and they said to send it back lol. Honestly I dont know if those little cracks even went thru the finish. I tried twisting the stock and they never opened up any more than that.

I know hs precision stocks we're cracking the same way, but think there made a little differently.

Glad to hear you were taken care of. My brother just recently bought a Christiansen rifle in 30-06 not sure if it is the Mesa. Regardless I'll pass on the information and have him look at the rifle stock for micro fractures.

If its a hunting model with a non-carbon barrel its a Mesa. From what i was told barrel quailty is the same regardless of model. The stocks are all the same construction as well, you pay about 700 more for a Ridgeline just to get the carbon wrap and triggertech Primary as opposed to a Field.

IF, you told how far away the targets were, I didn't see it, so I have no idea if they were good or bad...

94yds......course were looking at a 5x increase in spread between them, which is a little extreme at any range lol
