Anyone here have any practical experience with a Christensen Carbon One rifle? Any opinions or observations will be appretiated. I have shot 2 Christensen rifles and was quite impressed. now i have an opportunity to buy a Carbon One at a good price but would like more input. Thanks

yea, they are kinda pricy, but then again they are a semi-custom rifle. the price i was offered seemed good, based on what i see on the internet sales, but i feel better with real life experience. The ones i fired were at a range so..not like hunting experience etc.

I have been looking at them at a distance for several years. My first impression is that they are a rifle for someone who has everything else. I keep running the positives and negatives through my mind and come up with sevral points. I know there are a lot of shooters out there who like a Model 700 Remington action but I would like them better if the action was a Pre 64 Model 70. I just can't seem to buy a rifle that doesn't have a Model 70 type safety. I am not a person who likes frills and the fluted bolt and swiss cheese bolt handle don't do anything for me. The lighweight barrel that still retains stiffness is a very positive especially when it leads to a 6.3 pound rifle. The ability to shoot a 30 caliber bullet very fast with light recoil is also very positive. BW
